Almost as much as you think of you’I love the way Greg Dulli wrote with the Afghan Whigs. He just had this sleazy heroin chic to him, the way he used this dark romanticism to address addiction and love is just brilliant. Gentlemen is a great example of this. He’s definitely up there in my favourite and inspiring songwriters.
His songwriting is just as good with the Twilight Singers and the Gutter Twins. One of the great, and most underrated of them all.
