NBA Finals
I can’t be the only one on Tumblr into this. I hate, have always hated, the Lakers, but once again, I get to actually cheer for a team I love instead of just rooting against the Lakers. Auerbach was a distant relation to my family and though I didn’t know him, really only met him once, I rooted for the Celtics at first because of that. (If I’d been older, I suppose I might’ve rooted against the Cs because of that). Cousy was at the end of his career, but he always mesmerized me. Lotta great players on that team over the years. Two more championships than the Lakers, over the years. Damn Jackson passed the late Auerbach’s win/ring total, but how is that fair when Red’s dead?
I just read the refs assigned to game one, fucking Joey Crawford and DeRosa. How can Crawford, who presided over one of the worst officiated games in the playoffs, ever, last round (game 5 against Orlando) and is always a loose cannon, have the first game in the Finals? DeRosa’s only a little better. Both call technicals for hard breathing. ByeBye Perk, been nice to know you.
