I don’t believe “everything happens for a reason”, but I do think that unintended consequences can sometimes end up looking a whole lot like reasons.”
I’m inclined to agree, but I’d add that sometimes the ‘unintended consequences’ are just the logical
but not thought out, or overlooked outcome of actions. I often hear people (well ok including me) say something like, I didn’t think it would turn out like this, when someone with an outside perspective would’ve easily seen that it was a logical consequence. Most of us don’t seem able to extrapolate too far into the future.
