Cowboy Junkies cover Vic Chesnutt
I know he’s not all that well-known, so maybe it’s good to have his songs out there regardless, but while I’ve always had a soft spot for the Junkies, listening to Margo sing ‘I’ll See You Around,” all I can think of is, she’s smoothed out all the jagged edges, the rough spots, and that’s who he was, those jagged edges and rough spots. I miss him a lot, but he left a lot of great music that I am so so grateful for. I don’t want to hear him smoothed out by Margo of the Junkies. I want to hear him.
